Microdermabrasion is a medical technique that is used to remove the top layer of skin, including all of the dead, lifeless skin cells, leaving it vibrant and glowing.

Microdermabrasion is very effective in reducing fine lines, crow’s feet and acne scars, without the use of chemicals. It stimulates the production of new skin cells and collagen, which keeps the skin looking fresh.

At Epilette Cosmetic, we utilise the DiamondTone™ Wand to remove and exfoliate this layer of skin. The wand is able to do this by gently abrading the surface of the skin, while at the same time vacuuming up the dead cells in a controlled and sterilised manner.

How much discomfort will I experience?
Microdermabrasion treatments are painless, yet effective. We are easily able to control the degree of microdermabrasion that is experienced by varying the suction and the type of head that is used on the wand.
Because exfoliation only occurs as the wand is drawn against the skin, there are no crystals or particles blasted against the skin as with some other forms of microdermabrasion. This system is gentler on the skin, even at its highest setting, than these traditional methods.

How will my skin look after treatment?
Your skin may look red or flushed initially, but should return to normal within 30 minutes. You will notice considerable improvement in your skin tone and texture after the first treatment, and this will only continue to improve with additional treatments.
